He tells Kelly not to worry about her crush on Ryan, but she does not take his advice. Jim in this episode, treats Valentine’s Day more relaxed and plans on just hanging out with friends in the end of the day playing poker. Angela had already gotten to wait a bobble head of him, which he greatly appreciated. Back in Scranton, phyllis keeps receiving large gifts from Bob Vance, while pam and Angela are disappointed that they are receiving nothing from their significant others.

David tells him to not do it again, but they let it go. This leads to Michael later apologizing to David Wallace saying that it was a joke. One of the other regional managers doesn’t have a financial report, and calls Michael out for hooking up with Jen, joking saying he should do the same. During the actual meeting, Michael shows a video rather than a financial report. While with them, he accidentally let’s it slip that he and Jan hooked up. When he gets to the meeting, Jan and the new CFO David Wallace aren’t ready yet, so Michael hangs out with the other regional managers. He goes around New York giving a quick tour before the meeting. Michaels story line started with him leaving to go to a financial meeting with the company’s new CFO. Season 2 episode 16 of the office was a valentines day episode. He grabbed his weapon and started for the entrance. The cave started to vibrate, with a whirling noise over head. Was this all he was to do in life? Sit in a rocky desert land, and never experience the outside world, ending other peoples chances at experience? Would he ever get to experience the rest of the world before he died? This was something he thought about every day. All he could see was the orange glow of the sun reflecting off of the rocks on the outside. He slowly and casually slipped over to another crate to sit on, to get a glimpse of the outside of the cave.
